Old Village Re-Design

Wednesday, May 23rd, 2007

Old VillageWe were contracted by Ivan Topper at Old Village to produce a re-design of his current website, although he was very pleased with their current design (which we produced) they wanted to display their collection in a more glossy fashion. So we worked with the Old Village current brand colours to produce a more glossy design. Featuring an animated slideshow of their collections on every page of the site.

Obviously we needed to keep the administration power that they already had so we simply hooked in flash to their current database and the work was pretty much done.

The Vibrant Solution

We used Old Village’s current content management system to compliment the new design and then simply create a more simple front end design that highlighted the products that are in their current collection.

Palm OS is over

Tuesday, May 22nd, 2007

So it looks like the Palm Treo 755p is going to be the ast model that sports the original Palm OS as we know it, kind of sad really when you compare my old Zire 71 to any of the Compaq / HP / Dell palmtop devices. But since everything now seems to need the ability to show HD movies in the smalled possible screen area possible not really a surprise.

For my two bobs I believe that Dell made the right decision by totally dropping palm top models completely earlier this year, basically they are all a bit unnecessary, spanning the area between mobile phones (that show movies, play music, organise your life and phone people) and laptops (which basically enable you to run your life). I seriously cannot really see where palm top computing can progress.

Just get a bloody PSP and then you can even play some rather shocking PS2 knockoff games!
